Synopsis

Host: SqueezEast Concertinas

SqueezEast Concertinas will play a selection of pieces to go some way towards illustrating the wide range of music they enjoy, in the style of the concertina bands of the 19th and early 20th century.  

Afterwards we will give a brief description of both Anglo and English concertinas, and then offer people the opportunity to have a guided, hands-on go, on the system of their choice.  This will be either on a one-to-one, or small group basis depending on the level of interest.  We will have around half a dozen tutor instruments of each system available on the day.

We envisage a performance of around 40 minutes, and with a quick turn-around, about the same time for the workshop.
