Auditorium Layout
The auditorium is a very flexible space.
The normal layout is with an end-on stage 5 panels deep, 3 rows of audience on the flat floor and then 6 rows of audience on raked seating. It is however possible to reduce the depth of the stage and add extra row(s) of audience on the flat floor.
Other layouts are possible - flat floor, in the round, in traverse, thrust, catwalk.
Anything other than the normal layout must be agreed with the office before tickets go on sale as it's not possible to alter once tickets have been sold.
A PDF showing the dimensions of an end-on stage can be downloaded here.
Lighting Rig
The auditorium is equipped with a good selection of profile and fresnel lanterns. Over the stage area there are also LED par cans and LED bars to provide colour washes. The lanterns are controlled with a Strand 250ML lighting desk.
Newly added are 4 LED fresnel lanterns FOH giving good colour coverage across the stage.
A PDF showing rough lantern positions can be downloaded here. Bars 1 through 5 are over the audience and 6 onwards are over the stage. The location of the LED lanterns over the stage is fixed, the other lanterns get moved according to the needs of the show.
Sound
The auditorium is equiped with a PA system run from a MIDAS M32R Live desk. 4 passive stage monitors and 4 in-ear feeds are available.
Projection
The auditorium is equiped with a projector and a large cinema screen. There are HDMI connections from Stage Left & Right and also Upstage Left.
The cinema screen is mounted about 1 metre in from the back wall thus reducing the stage depth. It is also possible to project onto the white backwall of the stage or even just onto the black drapes.
The picture can be Zoomed in a certain amount but if continuous projection during a show is required please be aware that some people on stage will have the projection in their face.
Projection will also limit the type and position of the lighting that can be used in order to avoid spill onto the screen.
Gallery
The Gallery is equiped with a modest sound sytem that will accept CDs and input from other equipment via a 3.5mm jack.
The far end wall panel hides a large Plasma screen and computer. Cables are available for customers to connect their own equipment directly to the screen. It is also possible to bring content on a USB stick and play it via the computer.
