Synopsis

Open Space Theatre is going outdoors for the first time this summer with a spectacular production of Women of Troy, by Euripides, a play first performed in 415 BC but as relevant today as it was all those centuries ago. The women of Troy, husbands and sons all killed, are stranded on the beach beside their burning city as they wait to be "allocated" to members of the victorious Greek army, either as slaves or concubines. This exciting production, directed by David Green, features the work of choreographer, Caroline Mummery, and composer William Drew-Batty.

Performed at Bungay Castle or the Fisher Theatre in the event of wet weather.
