Synopsis

Matinée Idles presents an evening's diversion of music, words and reflections devoted to one of England's dearest loved authors.

Songs and piano works collected by Jane Austen and her family were recorded in seven volumes of manuscripts, many in Jane's own hand. The discovery of the Austen family songbook at a Norfolk country house has laid the foundations for dramatised revelations and interpretations!
