Synopsis

In 1873 the young Vincent van Gogh rented a room in a suburb of London while he was being trained for a career as an art dealer.

Wright’s play – premiered at the National Theatre – traces the transforming effects of love, sex and youthful adventure on Van Gogh’s still unfound talent as a painter.
