Vincent in Brixton - Open Space Theatre

It is 1873 and the young Vincent van Gogh rents a room in a suburb of London while he is being trained for a career as an art dealer. Slowly, he becomes aware of the secrets which lie beneath the surface of everyday life in the house.

Wright’s play - premiered at the National Theatre - traces the transforming effects of love, sex and youthful adventure on Van Gogh’s still unfound talent as a painter.
