A British drama set in Argentina and based on the best-selling memoir by Tom Mitchell.
Steve Coogan plays a disillusioned teacher who accepts a job at an elite school in Argentina just before the 1976 coup d’etat.
Expecting long holidays and a cushy job, Tom is confronted by an unteachable class and a country that is being torn apart. Then he rescues a penguin from an oil slick to impress an attractive woman, and finds himself saddled with an unwanted pet.
