A charming 50s set drama about a widowed cleaner who falls in love with her employer’s Dior dress and determines to buy one for herself.  Lesley Manville’s pitch perfect performance leads a terrific cast headed by French screen icon, Isabelle Huppert. The film’s exquisite rendering of time and place, the handsome production design and the ravishing costumes all add up to make this latest adaptation of the Paul Gallico novel a delightful escapist treat.
