A light-hearted French comedy about a man experiencing a mid-life crisis.  Overwhelmed by his 50th birthday, Michel buys a build-it-yourself kayak on impulse and plans his escape.  The ensuing river trip is sunlit, full of interesting encounters and some temptations. Shot in rural Burgundy at the height of summer, THE SWEET IS ESCAPE is entertaining, poignant and the perfect antidote to an English January.
