Ducan Slater in Conversation with Victoria Bacon
Auditorium 126 Plan, Saturday 21 Sep 2024, 19:30
- ends at 20:30
After serving in the Royal Air Force for ten years in 2009, Duncan Slater was on duty in Afghanistan when the vehicle he was travelling in was blown up; his entire body was damaged, his legs suffering worst.
A year later he made the traumatic decision to have a double amputation.
Duncan is an amazing example of triumph over adversity; refusing to be defeated since getting his prosthetic legs he has travelled to the Arctic and across the Sahara, and has raised thousands of pounds for charity – including for other wounded veterans, and child amputees.
Come and hear Duncan’s amazing and inspiring story.
