Folk Festival Workshop - Telling Stories
Venue: Bungay Community Library, Wharton Street, NR35 1EL
Host: Victoria Drew-Batty
Victoria's most recent book is ‘Their Second World War’ – a children's book containing true stories of the War, collected by her.
In the workshop Victoria will share some examples of how personal accounts can be woven into a great story. She will then share some Fairy Tales written during WW1 and use them as inspiration to enable children to write or tell their own story.
Victoria has written and published three books containing Second World War memories - 'Six Weeks of Blenheim Summer' which is the story of her paternal Grandfather’s time as a Royal Air Force reconnaissance pilot during the Battle of France in 1940; then later 'Remarkable Journeys of the Second World War' and 'Remarkable Women of the Second World War'.
Victoria is passionate about telling the stories for those who no longer have a voice.
Note: Parents are expected to stay with their children for the duration of this workshop.
This is a FREE event, but booking is essential.
