Synopsis

Often termed ‘A Play for Voices’ Under Milkwood is a radio drama which charts the strange goings on in the fictional Welsh town of Llareggub (try spelling that backwards).

The characters include Mr Pugh who is planning to kill his wife, the sorrowful Captain Cat who talks to ghosts and Mrs Ogmore Pritchard who relentlessly nags her two dead husbands.

The play is a tragic and comic poem of love, drunkenness and misadventure from the bizarre and brilliant imagination of Wales’ greatest poet.
