Synopsis

Victoria Drew-Batty in a Musical Conversation with Zöe Anderton … the Accidental Harpist.

Welsh born Zöe Anderton learnt to play the harp as a child, which she was only too happy to do, but quite taken by surprise when she began her lessons because she had thought she was going to learn the violin!

However, she has never looked back - after leaving school she trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and Manchester University and has since played her harp in many orchestras, including the National Youth Orchestra of Wales, the Hallé Youth, Nottingham Symphony and Suffolk Philharmonic. She has also toured across Ireland and Germany; and now teaches and plays at corporate events and recitals.

Zöe will talk to Victoria about the history of this beautiful instrument, why she loves it so much, and we will be treated to many of her favourite pieces.
