Synopsis

Nicole, Judy and Maureen met through choir and a local band, and their name was coined on the spot one Christmas after singing Silver Bells at Norwich Folk Club.

What began as an impromptu trio became a deliberate musical partnership when they realised they didn’t want to stop singing together.

Nicole takes the lead vocal; Judy, a female tenor with a strong sight‐reading background, brings depth and warmth; and Maureen, the group’s musical anchor, arranges harmonies and supplies flute, piano, accordion, and more.

Audiences often remark that Belles’ harmonies are both perfectly blended and transparent — you can hear every word and feel every meaning.
