THE BALLAD OF AGNES TURNER

 A theatrical performance - reading presented by four actors.

This story follows the life of Agnes, a wise woman living near a village in rural England. We watch her skill in preparing herbal remedies, her role as a midwife, healer, nature’s weather eye and innocent, share her gentle spirituality and the dramatic events that haunt her.

We are present when she is arrested as a witch and follow the events thereafter.

This show is dedicated to the 200,000 women across Europe and the UK, murdered in the witch hunts of the 16th/17th centuries - and its relevance for today.
